How can we help you?

Our MJF 3D Printing Service

Our industry-leading HP Multi Jet Fusion 3D printing services company, offering volume production and prototyping. We have 5 HP MJF machines instead of the more common SLS 3d technology as it is a 3d printing device designed for industrial scale additive manufacturing.

With these machines, we are able to provide the fastest turnaround time, the lowest possible unit price, and more accurate and stronger parts than SLS alternatives. Whether you need one-off prototypes or high-volume end-use parts, our manufacturing facility can deliver strong, precise and durable parts, primarily in nylon PA12.

What is MJF?

MJF stands for Multi Jet Fusion, which is a 3D printing technology developed by HP. It uses a combination of thermal energy and inkjet printing to create parts with high accuracy and detail.

In MJF 3D printing, a layer of powder material is spread onto a build platform, and then an inkjet array selectively applies a fusing agent to the areas of the powder that will become the part. Next, thermal energy is applied to the powder bed, causing the fusing agent to melt and fuse the powder particles together, forming a solid layer. This process is repeated for each layer until the part is complete.

MJF 3D printing is capable of producing parts with high surface quality and fine details, as well as complex geometries and internal structures. It is particularly well-suited for producing small- to medium-sized parts, and is used in a variety of industries including aerospace, automotive, and healthcare.

Advantages of MJF 3D Printing Process

While there are many benefits to MJF printing, a few truly stand out. For starters, the standard build parameters are optimized for the best density. The result is that Multi Jet Fusion parts are watertight.

If you like SLS but want to produce higher quantities for small-batch production runs, Multi Jet Fusion is the way to go. MJF printers have the ability to print multiple parts simultaneously across the entire build volume means you can print parts at rates up to 10X faster than SLS or other 3D printing processes. Also, Multi Jet Fusion delivers more balanced mechanical properties across the X, Y, and Z axes compared to SLS.

  • Simplify workflow and reduce costs, enabling rapid prototyping

  • Realize component manufacturing with breakthrough economic benefits

  • Lower the threshold of use

  • Low cost to achieve the best output quality and high multiplexing rate.

FAQ

In general, both MJF and SLS can produce strong and durable parts, and the strength of the parts will depend on several factors such as the material used, the printing process parameters, and the design of the part. So, it’s not accurate to say that one technology is inherently stronger than the other.

The tolerance accuracy of MJF printing depends on several factors, including the complexity of the part, the size of the part, and the orientation of the part during printing.
In general, MJF is able to produce parts with tolerances as low as 0.2 millimeters (0.008 inches), which is on par or better than many other 3D printing technologies. However, the actual tolerance accuracy of MJF printed parts may vary, depending on factors such as the quality of the 3D model, print settings, and post-processing steps used to complete the part.

3D printing is becoming increasingly popular and used in industries ranging from manufacturing and engineering to healthcare and entertainment. It allows rapid production of prototypes and custom parts, making it an invaluable tool for designers and engineers. If you have any more specific questions about 3D printing, I’d be happy to help.
